Korea National Oil Corporation (President Yang Soo-young) announced on the 9th that it supported daily quarantine supplies to small business stores in the Ulsan area to help recover the local economy, which has been depressed due to COVID-19.
On the afternoon of the 8th, the Oil Corporation directly visited stores in the area, including Taehwa Traditional Market, and distributed 1,000 boxes of quarantine supplies worth about 40 million KRW, consisting of aprons, hand sanitizers, and masks.
The funds for this gift were sourced from the social contribution fund created by employees' wage returns from the previous year.
With the funds collected last year, the Oil Corporation has been conducting COVID-19 overcoming support activities targeting traditional markets, neighborhood restaurants, and welfare centers for the disabled and elderly.
At the delivery event that day, Park Moon-jum, chairman of the Taehwa Market Merchants Association, proposed that all Ulsan citizens unite their strength to wisely overcome COVID-19.
Cho Sung-sang, General Affairs Director of the Oil Corporation, responded, “The corporation will participate more actively in Ulsan citizens' efforts to overcome COVID-19.”
The Oil Corporation has actively encouraged the use of local small business stores such as traditional markets and small restaurants.
