[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] “Companies with no export experience, gather around.” Busan City is conducting a project to help companies that have good products but do not know how to export.
Busan City (Mayor Park Hyung-joon) announced on the 9th that it will carry out the ‘2021 Export Beginner Company Marketing Coordinator Support Project’ to discover promising local export beginner companies and support their globalization.
The support scale includes ▲12 local companies that are either domestic companies or at the global beginner stage. ▲Participating companies will receive consulting support from marketing coordinators (export experts) and ▲benefits from a customized export support program of up to 5 million KRW per company.
The marketing coordinators, composed of experts in various export-related fields, will support all export-related tasks from front to back, including establishing export strategies for assigned companies, discovering overseas markets, and resolving difficulties.
Last year, 9 companies participated and received a total of 81 consulting sessions and occasional work support. Despite the difficult conditions caused by COVID-19, 5 beginner companies succeeded in exporting.
This year, the focus is on discovering new companies and solidifying the transition of domestic companies to export companies. ▲Domestic companies with no prior experience in city support projects are given preference, and ▲companies that participated last year and still need continuous support for export self-reliance can also apply.
Mayor Park Hyung-joon of Busan said, “There are many promising local companies with excellent technology that are struggling with exports,” and added, “I hope the marketing coordinator support for exports will greatly help in pioneering export routes.”
