View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Han Seung-gon] On the morning of April 7, the day of the main vote for the April 7 by-elections, a leaflet disparaging Park Young-sun, the Democratic Party of Korea's candidate for Seoul mayor, was found in a residential area in Songpa-gu, Seoul. The leaflet urged voters to judge Park for belittling people in their 20s. However, this is clearly not a proven fact but rather a defamatory leaflet, apparently produced and indiscriminately distributed by some individuals.
At around 9:49 a.m. that day, a post titled "There is a leaflet on the car" was uploaded on the online community 'Clien' bulletin board, along with a photo of the leaflet claiming that Park was disregarding people in their 20s.
The disclosed leaflet is A4-sized and features a Chosun Ilbo article titled "Oh Se-hoon leads Park Young-sun, Pro-government netizens say 'People in their 20s these days are immature...'" along with a photo of Park's face.
Below Park's image, phrases such as "Lacking historical experience," "Will they like it if given one more candy?" and a YouTube thumbnail saying "Seoul National University students also angry at Park Young-sun: 'Are we kindergarteners?'" are visible.
It continues, "April 7 is the day to reclaim the pride of the people taken away by injustice and unfairness. Citizens of Seoul and Busan, let's punish them with our votes!! The whole nation supports you~ Park Young-sun's disregard for people in their 20s."
Summarizing the leaflet's content, it can be interpreted that Park is belittling young people in their 20s and implementing unfair policies. However, this appears to be a leaflet created with the intent to defame Park rather than a clearly established fact.
The author of the post said, "I put the leaflet in several places on the rear windshield of the car," adding, "They are scattered around the neighborhood. This is Songpa-gu, Seoul. It's been a while since I've seen such leaflets. I don't know if this violates election laws, but let's vote."

Meanwhile, Park previously faced controversy over allegedly belittling people in their 20s. On the morning of March 26, during a campaign event in Bukgajwa-dong, Seoul, Park was asked by reporters about the low approval ratings among people in their 20s. She responded, "People in their 20s have less experience with historical events compared to those in their 40s and 50s," adding, "So they tend to view current situations only from the present perspective."
This remark sparked controversy over "belittling youth." Hwang Gyu-hwan, the standing deputy spokesperson of the People Power Party, said, "When approval ratings drop, one should reflect on oneself first, but Park mentioned 'historical experience of people in their 20s,' which is a disparaging comment toward the youth of this country."

In response to the controversy, Park appeared on JTBC's "Newsroom" that day and said, "Regardless of the reason, if anyone felt hurt, I should do better," explaining, "The intention was to convey that people in their 20s said, 'The People Power Party calls President Moon Jae-in a dictator, but since we haven't experienced the Jeon Du-hwan era, it's hard to compare the situations.'"
