Pulmuone Foods Launches 'Red Jjajangmyeon'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Pulmuone Foods announced on the 7th that it has launched 'Red Jjajangmyeon'.
The sauce for 'Red Jjajangmyeon' uses Doubanjiang, a red and spicy-flavored paste popular in Sichuan, China, instead of the commonly used chunjang. The Doubanjiang sauce used in the product was stir-fried at a high temperature of 180℃ in a direct-fire cauldron.
Additionally, fresh noodles made using the hand-pulled noodle method were used to preserve the chewy texture. Pulmuone increased the chewiness of the noodles by repeatedly pressing and kneading the fresh dough with a 4-stage rolling roller.
