View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] The Justice Party has urged Park Young-sun, the Democratic Party of Korea's Seoul mayoral candidate, who mentioned the late lawmaker Roh Hoe-chan during her election campaign, to "stop invoking the deceased in the election arena."
Lee Dong-young, the chief spokesperson of the Justice Party, stated at a National Assembly press conference on the morning of the 6th, "Candidate Park said she 'devotedly helped the late lawmaker Roh Hoe-chan in the recent Dongjak by-election,'" adding, "That election was conducted responsibly by the two parties after deciding on a single candidate through political agreement between parties. To speak as if she personally provided devoted help is inappropriate in terms of political ethics and responsibility."
Regarding Park's comment that "the Democratic Party probably said that because they have many grievances against the Justice Party," in response to Justice Party leader Yeo Young-guk's radio interview on the 5th where he criticized the Democratic Party for "blocking the Justice Party's path" and called them "shameless," Lee pointed out, "The Democratic Party should remember that it has at least lost the grounds for critical support."
He continued, "Instead of invoking lawmaker Roh on bus number 6411 during the election, candidate Park should have taken time for reflection and consultation on the four years of the Democratic Party government," emphasizing, "Citizens are so desperate and angry about public officials' real estate speculation because of this. Has the Democratic Party strictly applied the standards and measures of moral criticism used against past conservative governments? It is common sense to fulfill at least the minimum responsibility to explain the politics of the past four years before asking for support."

On that day, Park boarded bus number 6411, known as the "Roh Hoe-chan bus," departing from Guro-dong at around 3:55 a.m. to visit the fish market.
Bus number 6411 is the bus that the late lawmaker Roh mentioned during his acceptance speech as party leader in 2012, saying he would "work for citizens taking the first bus at dawn and marginalized groups."
After visiting the fish market, Park explained to reporters, "I wanted to be with the Seoul citizens who open the dawn in Seoul," adding, "I took bus number 6411, also known as the 'Roh Hoe-chan bus,' from Guro-dong to in front of Noryangjin Fisheries Wholesale Market Station, and had many conversations with the citizens who start their day early on the bus."
She reflected, "Seeing those who start work at 1 a.m. at the fish market, conducting auctions and wholesale, I thought I should carefully and humbly take care of the lives of ordinary people."

Regarding Justice Party leader Yeo's criticism of the Democratic Party as "shameless" the day before, Park said, "She probably said that because she had grievances against the Democratic Party," emphasizing, "I devoted myself wholeheartedly to helping the late lawmaker Roh when he ran in Dongjak. When the Justice Party had a by-election, I sincerely helped almost every day without considering advantages or disadvantages."
