Chuncheon City Promotes 'Carbon Neutrality'... Collaboration with Climate and Environment Specialized Foundation
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Chuncheon City is partnering with climate and environmental experts to achieve carbon neutrality.
The city announced on the 5th that it will "sign a business agreement with the NET ZERO 2050 Climate Foundation."
The NET ZERO 2050 Climate Foundation is a non-profit organization under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, established under the leadership of former Prime Minister Han Seung-soo and Chairman Jang Dae-sik.
It promotes energy, environmental, and climate-related practical programs to reduce carbon emissions.
Through this agreement, the city will promote Chuncheon-style carbon reduction projects, and both organizations plan to expand the base of low-carbon green living among citizens.
The signing ceremony is expected to be attended by Lee Jae-su, Mayor of Chuncheon, and Jang Dae-sik, Chairman of the NET ZERO 2050 Climate Foundation.
