Productivity Headquarters Supports Small Business Online Market Expansion with Seoul City
Recruitment of Participating Companies for the 2021 Seoul Small Business Online Market Expansion Support Project
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Productivity Center (KPC, Chairman An Wanki) announced on the 5th that it is recruiting participating companies for the '2021 Seoul Small Business Online Market Development Support Project' in cooperation with the Seoul Metropolitan Government. There is no cost burden for participating companies, and companies wishing to participate can apply online by the 9th.
The Seoul Small Business Online Market Development Support Project is a program to support Seoul small businesses' entry into the online market, operated by the Korea Productivity Center. Since September last year, Seoul has supported over 300 small business companies to enter the online market, achieving total sales of 18.5 billion KRW. This year, the number of supported companies will be significantly increased to 1,200.
The Korea Productivity Center and Seoul Metropolitan Government will support selected companies to enter the small business exclusive section "Ssolssol Market" within six major domestic online shopping malls. Each shopping mall will host 200 small businesses, with sales commissions lower than those for general companies, and will provide systematic discount coupon issuance and promotional support.
Additionally, to help systematically operate online shopping malls, selected companies will receive consultations with product planners (MDs), one-on-one diagnostic consulting, and differentiated programs tailored to demand. Customized training will also be provided by dividing participants into new online shopping mall entrants and experienced operators. New small business entrants can receive practical training on online channel entry processes, pricing, and more. Experienced small businesses can learn about utilizing live commerce and search advertising.
