[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] The largest Korea-China joint agricultural complex in the country, the 'Korea-China Smart Farm Village,' will be established in Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province.
The Korea-China Private Economic Cooperation Forum and Megatime Holdings-Megafarm Village announced on the morning of the 3rd that they held the 'Korea-China Smart Farm Village Briefing and Business Agreement Ceremony' at Hanwha Resort in Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province.

On the same day, they also signed business agreements with Doosan Fuel Cell, CJ OliveNetworks, and Shinhan Bank, who are jointly participating in this project, for the provision of new technologies and financial support.
The Smart Farm Village is planned to be developed on approximately 250,000㎡ in the Gwanin-myeon area of Pocheon City. This is the first project where the governments and companies of Korea and China collaborate in the agricultural sector.

The project operator, agricultural corporation Megafarm Village, decided to prioritize hiring local residents to create new jobs.
On the Chinese side, based on the support of the China Asia Economic Development Association, modern Chinese agricultural companies such as Tianshendushi Zhongyewilu, Beijing Zhongkairun Agriculture, and Kangtailai will exchange related technologies with Korean companies. Project funding is planned to be invested by Wuxi Hanguang Tianqi and Daru Group.
Through this business agreement, CJ OliveNetworks plans to establish an overall ICT (Information and Communication Technology) development plan and cooperate in building smart farm-related software systems and integrated digital transformation service business areas.
Doosan Fuel Cell plans to supply heating and cooling using hydrogen fuel cells and provide renewable energy sources and technologies necessary for the overall operation of smart farms, residential complexes, hot springs, and community centers.
Shinhan Bank will provide comprehensive financial support, including information on policy funds related to small and medium-sized enterprises, consulting on financing methods, policy fund loans, and post-management of companies.
