Gyeonggi-do Operates Online Policy Platform 'Domini'
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province will launch the online policy platform 'Domini' (domini.or.kr), which contributes to the activation of the resident autonomy era, starting from the 1st.
'Domini' is a name derived from Gyeonggi residents and was developed into a public service by the Gyeonggi Village Community Support Center through research and design based on proposals made at the 2019 '1st Gyeonggi Residents Policy Festival.'
The purpose is to help residents discover daily life and local issues, imagine and propose solutions, develop them into policies, and support problem-solving in villages and the advancement of resident autonomy by residents themselves.
If five or more residents propose solutions to various issues such as childcare, employment, care, environment, culture, health, and wellness on 'Domini,' and more than ten others agree, the province supports institutionalization of the proposal.
The province provides policy development funds ranging from 100,000 KRW to a maximum of 2,000,000 KRW for proposals that receive more than ten agreements, after a recommendation process by 70 operating committee members composed of village support agency practitioners and public policy experts. These funds can be used for research, learning, discussions, seminars, and resident publicity.
