View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] The New Southern Business Alliance held its 8th General Meeting on the 31st at the Bankers Association Building in Myeongdong, Jung-gu, Seoul, and discussed the status of the opening of the 'Small Business Export Support Center' and other matters.
The meeting was co-chaired by Koo Ja-yeol, chairman of the Korea International Trade Association and president of the New Southern Business Alliance, and Park Bok-young, chairman of the New Southern Policy Special Committee. Representatives from 20 affiliated organizations of the alliance and officials from related government ministries attended the meeting to discuss the current status and future plans for the Small Business Export Support Center, the contract for operating the Binh Duong Exhibition Center in Vietnam and its hub strategy, cooperation cases of private companies entering the New Southern region, and ways to utilize achievements.

Chairman Koo stated, "Since last year, our alliance has established an emergency response system and worked with the government to resolve difficulties faced by companies entering the New Southern region, striving to normalize New Southern business." He emphasized, "With the vaccination progress worldwide increasing expectations for business normalization, now is the right time to prepare for changes in the business environment after COVID-19."
