Josujin "1980s Ttaengjeon News KBS, Now It's Ttaenghamyeon Moon Jae-in"
"Public Broadcasters Cannot Be Trusted"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] On the 30th, Sujin Cho, a member of the People Power Party, criticized the KBS report related to Seoul mayoral candidate Oh Se-hoon's land in Naegok-dong, saying there are no proper facts and "this is why public broadcasting cannot be trusted."
On the same day, Cho appeared on MBC Radio's 'Kim Jong-bae's Focus' and criticized the KBS report, pointing out, "KBS is really consistent. During President Chun Doo-hwan's era in the 1980s, it was called 'Ttaengjeon News.' When you hear 'Ttaeng,' President Chun Doo-hwan appears, and now when you hear 'Ttaeng,' President Moon Jae-in appears."
When the host asked about the KBS report on candidate Oh's participation in the surveying site, Cho explained, "If you report on surveying, there should at least be footage if candidate Oh Se-hoon went somewhere related to the surveying. Someone who supports that should come forward and speak directly. You cannot rely on hearsay."
She continued, "You must question with facts and attack with facts," emphasizing, "How reliable the witness is can become a major issue in the Seoul mayoral election and could influence the outcome, which is why this is coming out now." Candidate Oh mentioned on the radio the day before that the person who testified to his participation in the Naegok-dong land surveying was someone who had been illegally cultivating the land at that time.
