According to Gwangju City on the 27th, five people were diagnosed positive as of the previous day and were classified as Gwangju cases 2198 to 2202.
Their infection routes include 2 related to the Dongjeon Noraebang (coin karaoke room), 2 with unknown infection routes, and 1 related to Gwangju case 2198.
The infection routes of Gwangju cases 2198 and 2201 have not yet been identified.
Gwangju case 2199 was infected by Gwangju case 2198, who was confirmed positive on the same day.
Gwangju cases 2199 and 2202 are confirmed cases related to the Dongjeon Noraebang located in Dong-gu.
The infections originating from the Dongjeon Noraebang have continued to occur mainly among acquaintances of the index patient, Gwangju case 2187, who was confirmed positive on the 22nd.
The quarantine authorities conducted an on-site evaluation at the Dongjeon Noraebang on the 25th.
As a result, it was revealed that the facility owner was properly following quarantine guidelines.
However, since there were no closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras installed inside individual rooms, it was difficult to determine whether users were wearing masks while singing, according to the quarantine authorities.
