Geochang-gun established a cooperative system with 3 hospitals, 17 clinics including internal medicine and otolaryngology, 34 pharmacies, and 29 safety over-the-counter drug sales outlets (convenience stores) in the area to encourage symptomatic residents to undergo COVID-19 screening tests.

Gu In-mo, the mayor of Geochang-gun, emphasized, "Since there are many cases where COVID-19 spreads in the community while people with mild symptoms continue their daily lives, medical institutions and pharmacies should cooperate in establishing a COVID-19 response monitoring system and actively recommend COVID-19 screening tests when symptoms are present."
