The county announced on the 24th that it will inspect traffic risk factors around elementary schools in cooperation with related organizations during the school opening period and carry out improvement projects based on the results.
By the 31st, in collaboration with Sancheong Police Station and Sancheong Office of Education, they plan to inspect and enforce regulations on traffic risk factors around 13 elementary schools in the area.
The main inspection and enforcement items include ▲illegal parking and speeding within school zones ▲compliance with safety rules by vehicles during school commute times ▲safety management checks around construction sites near schools.
In particular, since last year, joint on-site investigations of children’s school routes have been conducted with related organizations, and based on the results, starting in April, facilities such as illegal parking cameras, safety fences, and speed bumps will be installed and improved within school zones.
A county official stated, “We will continue to make efforts to create an environment where children, who are the future and hope of our county, as well as their parents, can commute to school with peace of mind.”
