Distribution of Pear Trees from Bonghwasan to Kindergarten Students in Jungnang-gu
Distribution of Pear Trees at Bonghwasan for Kindergartens and Daycare Centers on the 25th-26th... 225 Pear Trees at Bonghwasan Nature Experience Park Allocated One per Institution
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) will distribute 225 pear trees from Bonghwasan Natural Experience Park (San 127-9, Sinnae-dong area) to kindergartens and daycare centers in the district from the 25th to the 26th.
This year's pear tree distribution, which will serve as a valuable natural experience learning opportunity for local young children to grow pear trees in the urban environment, allocates one tree per institution, with institutions exceeding 30 students allowed to apply for one additional tree per 30 students.
Kindergartens and daycare centers in the area wishing to participate can apply through the citizen participation section on the Jungnang-gu Office website during the application period, and the selection of recipients will be announced on the 30th. The distribution event, held annually after the distribution, will be omitted this year to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
In particular, along with the pear tree distribution, monthly orchard experience classroom programs appropriate to the season, such as observing pear blossoms, dressing the fruit, and meeting autumn insects, will be operated, allowing young children to directly see and feel the process of pear blossoms blooming and fruit growing, as well as experience the joy of pear harvesting.
Now in its sixth year, the pear tree distribution is a popular experience program in the district, with 107 trees distributed to 66 institutions last year, and inquiries from institutions wishing to participate continue every year.
