284 New COVID-19 Cases by 6 PM... 50 Fewer Than Previous Day

According to health authorities, from midnight to 6 p.m. on that day, 284 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed nationwide. This is 50 fewer than the 334 cases reported at the same time the previous day.
By region, 190 cases were reported in the metropolitan area and 94 cases in non-metropolitan areas. The metropolitan area accounted for nearly 70% with 95 cases in Gyeonggi, 84 in Seoul, and 11 in Incheon. In non-metropolitan areas, there were 27 cases in Gyeongnam, 20 in Gyeongbuk, 9 in Gangwon, 7 each in Busan and Daegu, 6 in Ulsan, 5 in Chungbuk, 4 each in Daejeon and Chungnam, 3 in Jeonbuk, and 1 each in Gwangju and Jeonnam. No confirmed cases have yet been reported in Sejong and Jeju.

When the count is completed by midnight, the number of new confirmed cases announced at 0:00 on the 23rd is expected to be in the mid to high 300s or more. On the previous day, 81 additional cases were reported after 6 p.m., bringing the final total to 415.
