Renault Samsung Participates in Children's Traffic Safety Relay Challenge
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Renault Samsung Motors announced on the 22nd that CEO Dominic Signora participated in the Children's Traffic Safety Relay Challenge.
According to Renault Samsung, CEO Signora visited the workplace daycare center located within Renault Technology Korea in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, to participate in the challenge. He toured the environment and facilities within the school zone. He also used the electric vehicles Zoe and Twizy to explain traffic safety to the children.
CEO Signora then posted a 'Safety Bracket' certification photo taken with the children on Instagram with hashtags, joining the Children's Traffic Safety Relay Challenge.
The Children's Traffic Safety Relay Challenge, which started in December last year by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, is being conducted by sharing slogans (Stop at 1 step, Look both ways at 2 sides, Wait for 3 seconds, Prevent 4 dangers) selected through a national idea contest on social networking services (SNS) and nominating the next participant.
CEO Signora received the baton from Kim Hyun-soo, CEO of Lotte Rental, and recommended Yang Chang-soo, CEO of Osram Korea, and Kim Jun-gyu, chairman of the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association (KAMA) steering committee, as the next participants.
CEO Signora said, "Through this challenge, I hope that a mature traffic culture in our society will be established as soon as possible," adding, "Renault Samsung plans to actively participate in solving social issues by continuing social contribution activities through eco-friendly vehicles for children, who are the leaders of the future generation."
