The 119 rescue team and police announced that at around 9:26 a.m. on the 20th, they found A (52) deceased near the valley by Duribong, Sadong-ri, Ulleung-eup (left side of Okcheon-gol).
The deceased A went out around 9 a.m. the previous day with two neighboring residents to pick wild vegetables such as meongi namul, and when he did not return home until late afternoon, the group who went to the mountain together reported him missing.
At around 6:40 p.m. that day, after receiving the report, the 119 rescue team, along with the Ulleung Mountaineering Club, searched the valley and surrounding areas presumed to be where A went missing until 11 p.m., but they could not find him.
When daylight came, the 119 team resumed the search from 8:30 a.m. on the 20th and found A deceased after falling from a 150-meter cliff valley, but he was already dead.
