View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Lee Jae-ha, chairman of Sambo Motors, was re-elected as chairman for a three-year term by consensus at the 24th Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry's first general assembly of members.
The Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry held the 24th 1st extraordinary general assembly with 112 members attending on the 19th, electing 22 executives including the chairman, 18 vice-chairmen, and 3 auditors.
About 100 people attended the event, including Kwon Young-jin, mayor of Daegu, the 24th chairman, members of the chamber, honorary chairmen, and election committee members. The current chairman Lee Jae-ha ran unopposed and was reappointed by consensus as the next chairman.
The Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry has continued the consensus endorsement format for chairman elections for 21 years since the 17th term in 2000. Chairman Lee's re-election is the first in nine years since former chairman Lee In-jung completed his term in 2012.
Chairman Lee expressed his thoughts, saying, "Being entrusted with this important role during the unprecedented difficult times of COVID-19 means that we should push business more strongly and achieve new changes and innovations in Daegu's economy together."
Mayor Kwon Young-jin congratulated, saying, "I believe this reflects the expectations the local business community places on Chairman Lee," and added, "I actively support and cheer for the restoration of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Design Center site, which has been a long-standing wish of the Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry."
On this day, Executive Vice Chairman Lee Jae-kyung was also reappointed alongside Chairman Lee. The auditors elected were Lee Seong-wol, CEO of Dadam Co., Ltd., Han Seung-yoon, CEO of Samhan Siwon Co., Ltd., and Jung Seung-jin, CEO of Korea OSG Co., Ltd.
