The Progressive Party Gyeongnam Provincial Party stated, "As a result of the first investigation into the real estate speculation allegations of LH executives and employees, only 20 out of approximately 15,000 LH employees were identified as suspected speculators, which the public cannot accept."
They also raised suspicions, saying, "Since high-ranking public officials are required to disclose their assets, it is highly likely that they conducted proxy transactions under the names of relatives or acquaintances."
They pointed out, "These individuals were excluded from the investigation, and elected officials such as city and provincial council members and local government heads were also omitted."
They continued, "Gyeongsangnam-do should expand the audit investigation targets to include elected officials such as city and provincial council members and local government heads, and establish a dedicated organization involving civil society groups and external experts."
They emphasized that along with a thorough investigation into public officials' speculation activities, a real estate blind trust system must be implemented fundamentally to prevent real estate speculation.
