KIPA Appoints Park Seong-ho as New Secretary-General and Association President
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] The Korea Internet Corporations Association announced on the 18th that it has elected Park Seong-ho as the 14th president of the association.
The association held an online regular general meeting on the same day and made this decision. Earlier, on the 3rd, the board of directors unanimously nominated Secretary-General Park as the new presidential candidate.
Until now, the association's president has been held by representatives of member companies. The previous president was Han Seong-suk, CEO of Naver. With President Park's inauguration, a full-time president from the association's secretariat has been appointed for the first time in 20 years.

President Park stated, "Above all, I want to lead and push the association with the core focus on its role and essence as the foundation of the industry," adding, "While resolving unfair regulations, we will also become an association that clearly discovers initiatives that can serve as a catalyst for the industry."
