Announcing K Medical Devices to the World... KOTRA Hosts Global Export Consultation Meeting
Online Seminars and More Held from the 18th to 26th
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] KOTRA is hosting the 2021 Global Medical Device Export Consultation (GMEP) from the 18th to the 26th, in conjunction with the Korea International Medical & Hospital Equipment Show (KIMES 2021).
This event has been organized to support the globalization of Korean medical devices. It is conducted in collaboration with Korea ENEX, the Korea Medical Devices Industry Association, and the Korea Medical Devices Industrial Cooperative.
This year's GMEP consists of an online medical device export consultation, a Global Partnering (GP) online seminar, and consultation sessions. The online medical device export consultation will feature approximately 200 domestic companies related to ▲digital healthcare ▲medical equipment ▲dental supplies ▲medical products, along with about 500 overseas buyers.
During the event, consultations will take place at consultation booths within the COEX exhibition hall in Samseong-dong, Seoul, at the KOTRA Cyber Trade Consultation Center, and at individual company offices. KOTRA will operate a 'GMEP Online Special Pavilion' on the online B2B e-commerce platform 'BuyKorea' to showcase participating companies' products. Video consultations will also be supported from the 12th to the 30th of next month.

This year, a Global Partnering (GP) online briefing and consultation session have been added to explore strategic partnership opportunities between Korean companies and global firms. Kwon Pyung-oh, President of KOTRA, stated, "The COVID-19 pandemic has become an opportunity for the Korean medical device industry to take a leap forward," adding, "We will continue to promote export support projects that align with the new normal era to expand the base of Korean medical device exports."
