"Donate Religious Offerings with a Single Call" KT Launches '060 Smart Offering Call' Service
Religious organizations can make donations by calling the 060 number
One-stop year-end tax adjustment registration with consent to provide personal information
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] KT announced on the 14th that it has launched the ‘060 Smart Offering Call’ service, which allows donations to religious organizations with a single phone call.
The 060 Smart Offering Call is based on KT’s intelligent network ARS and provides a service that enables donations to be made anytime, anywhere using a mobile or landline phone during non-face-to-face religious activities. KT’s 060 Smart Offering Call is a subscription-based service available to any religious organization that requires non-face-to-face fundraising.
Upon subscription, a 060 number is assigned, which can be announced on the religious organization’s website or printed materials. Worshippers can make donations within about 20 seconds by calling this ‘060’ number. In particular, if worshippers additionally agree to provide personal information when making donations, KT provides the payment information to the religious organization, allowing the necessary information for year-end tax adjustments to be registered at once, thereby improving the efficiency of donation payment and collection management. Also, upon completion of the donation, a thank-you message or announcement set by the religious organization can be automatically sent to the worshippers via text message. KT will offer benefits such as waiving the subscription fee for religious organizations that subscribe to the 060 Smart Offering Call service by June.

Myeong Jehun, Senior Vice President of KT Enterprise Division’s Communication Platform Business, said, “We launched the 060 Smart Offering Call service, which anyone can easily use, to support religious organizations facing difficulties in donation payment and fundraising due to the activation of non-face-to-face religious activities caused by COVID-19.” He added, “We will contribute to the digital transformation (DX) of the religious sector through the development of various products and services in the future.”
