[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] The Jung-gu Council of Seoul (Chairman Jo Young-hoon) held the appointment ceremony for the 2020 fiscal year settlement inspection committee members on March 11 in the main conference hall.
For this responsibility inspection, Councilor Go Moon-sik was appointed.
Councilor Go, along with Jeong Gi-am (former public official), Chae Seong-man (former public official), accountant Choi Won-ik, and tax accountant Sang Mi-jeong, will serve as settlement inspection committee members throughout April.
The inspection targets include the 2020 fiscal year of Jung-gu Office ▲revenue and expenditure settlement ▲settlement of continuing expenses, explicit carryover expenses, and accidental carryover expenses ▲settlement of bonds and debts ▲settlement of assets and funds ▲settlement of public property and various funds.
The committee members will review and verify the appropriateness of financial management, the adequacy of the execution process, and legality across the entire district administration based on settlement documents and supporting materials.
Councilor Go Moon-sik, who will serve as the responsible inspection member, stated, "As COVID-19 prolongs, continuous financial support is necessary for small businesses, self-employed individuals, and revitalization of the local economy. Through the settlement inspection that checks and verifies financial capacity, we will induce stable and reasonable budget input to secure fiscal soundness in this unprecedented crisis." He added, "Given the critical time, I will devote my best efforts throughout the entire settlement process together with my fellow committee members."
