Seongbuk-gu Launches Inspection of Flood-Vulnerable Facilities
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) will conduct safety inspections targeting flood-prone facilities such as rainwater pumping stations, redevelopment sites, reconstruction sites, and large construction sites in preparation for the rainy season.
The safety inspections, which have been ongoing since early this month until the end of April, are being conducted on facilities vulnerable to floods and water damage, including rivers, sewers, flood control facilities, as well as private and public construction sites.
The district plans to complete the first inspection by the end of March, immediately addressing minor issues on-site, and for issues not resolved during the first inspection, a second intensive inspection and maintenance will be carried out with experts by the end of April.
In particular, for serious defects such as structural cracks, collapses, or tilting detected during the inspections, emergency measures and counterplans will be implemented, with all actions completed before the rainy season.
