Jungjingong Takes the Lead in Training Young Export Experts
Recruitment of Companies Participating in the Youth Global Marketer Project
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Kwon Chil-seung, hereinafter referred to as the Ministry) and the Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 14th that they are recruiting participating companies for the Youth Global Marketer Project to support the training of young export professionals in small and medium enterprises.
The Youth Global Marketer Project is a program that provides a package of support including online and offline trade practice training, expert consulting, buyer matching and participation in video consultation meetings, and overseas marketing activities for young export professionals hired by small and medium enterprises.
The eligible applicants are small and medium enterprises that have newly hired or plan to hire young people aged 19 to under 34 as of the announcement date of the project, starting from January last year. The young personnel must be regular employees assigned to export and trade-related departments or responsible for related tasks within the company after hiring. Employees who have family relationships with the representative are not eligible.
The recruitment scale is 200 companies. One young personnel per company will be supported. If selected as a participating company, the young personnel can complete trade practice and marketing techniques through e-learning and other methods and receive one-on-one consulting with trade experts. In addition, expenses such as airfare and overseas accommodation costs necessary for the young personnel to carry out marketing and sales promotion activities for their products, such as participating in trade delegations and exhibitions, meeting with local overseas buyers, and receiving product orders, will be supported up to 1.8 million KRW.
To facilitate the young personnel's rapid adaptation to work and sharing of organizational culture, mentoring with a senior employee in the same workplace will be conducted, and mentoring activity expenses of 120,000 KRW per month for six months will be supported. To support the young personnel's new buyer discovery activities, targeted buyer discovery, matching, and video consultation meetings will also be held.
