Sung Yoon-mo "Distribution Industry, Please Maintain Vigilance on COVID-19 Prevention"
[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Haeyoung] Sung Yun-mo, Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy, said on the 11th, "The distribution industry must be especially vigilant about COVID-19 prevention measures because it is directly connected to the daily lives of the public."
Minister Sung made these remarks during a visit to Hyundai Department Store The Hyundai Seoul in Yeouido, Seoul, to inspect the distribution industry's quarantine management in preparation for the increase in floating population such as spring outing visitors.
Minister Sung said, "It has been one year since the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the 'COVID-19 pandemic,' but the third wave that began in December last year is still at a dangerous level," adding, "Many people are exhausted due to prolonged strengthened quarantine measures, but if we become complacent, all the efforts so far could be wasted in an instant." He continued, "The distribution industry should not lower its guard and must carefully manage quarantine and safety for department store and partner company employees while implementing quarantine rules such as store ventilation and disinfection, mask-wearing, social distancing, and temperature checks."
