'From Development to Market Access'... Gyeonggi-do Provides 'Customized' Support for SMEs
Targeting 1,100 Small and Medium Enterprises in the Province
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Gyeonggi Province will provide field-oriented customized support this year for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within the province, covering product development, production, and market expansion.
On the 11th, the province announced, "We will invest a total of 3.6 billion KRW in business expenses to promote 11 projects across three major areas?idea development, product production, and market expansion?targeting 1,100 companies."
Eligible companies are SMEs with annual sales of 12 billion KRW or less, headquartered or with factories located in 27 cities and counties within the province (excluding Anyang, Ansan, Seongnam, and Gwacheon). Companies can select projects suited to their characteristics among the three major areas and receive support up to a maximum of 20 million KRW per company.

In the 'Idea Development' area, support includes domestic and international intellectual property applications, domestic and international standard certifications, and provision of industrial technology information. The 'Product Production' area supports prototype development (mold and mock-up) and testing and analysis. The 'Market Expansion' area provides support for website creation, participation in domestic and international exhibitions, domestic promotion and sales channels, and mobile app development.
