Daycare Teachers Who Made Children Eat Vomit and Provoked Fights Face Trial
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Ju Cheol-in] Two daycare teachers who abused 18 children have been brought to trial.
On the 11th, according to Geoje City and the prosecution, the Changwon District Prosecutors' Office Tongyeong Branch indicted two daycare teachers, including Mr. A, from a daycare center in Geoje City last December without detention on charges of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Child Abuse Crimes.
After reviewing CCTV footage from the daycare center between January and February 2019, the prosecution determined that the two teachers committed 188 acts of child abuse against 18 children.
The two teachers were found to have forced children to eat vomited porridge again and made two children who were fighting be hit by another child, among other abuses.
One of the two indicted teachers is known to be the daughter of the daycare center director.

Separately from the trial proceedings, Geoje City is considering administrative measures such as suspending the operation of the daycare center.
