View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jumi Lee] Park Yong-jin, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea who declared his candidacy for the next presidential election, harshly criticized former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, saying, "I guarantee that if we have a one-hour debate, all his political weaknesses will be revealed."
On the 10th, Park appeared on KBS Radio's 'Choi Kyung-young's Strong Current Affairs' and criticized, "What do you think former Prosecutor General Yoon would say best? It would be something like 'Arrest them all, punish them severely.' Politics is not like that."
He continued, "How will you solve the diplomatic issues with Japan? Will you choose the United States or China? On economic issues, will it be tax increases or tax cuts?" and poured out questions, asserting, "(Former Prosecutor General Yoon) probably does not have answers to these issues."
He added, "In that case, he has to act similarly to former Ahn Cheol-soo," and said, "Ambiguous attitudes, abstract expressions, and continuously talking about new politics without knowing himself will only prolong the time when he does not clearly communicate his thoughts to the public."
Park also criticized former Prosecutor General Yoon's actions. He referred to Yoon's past remark, "If a prosecutor uses investigative authority for retaliation, then that is a gangster, not a prosecutor," saying, "It was a great statement, and I supported it."
He added, "But this time, I can't help but strongly suspect that he had political intentions even before stepping down as Prosecutor General," and criticized, "I thought the act in front of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, which is the core of the nation's investigative agency, was a prepared performance, and his visit to Daegu made me think, 'Hey, what is this?'"
