Small Business Community Meets Candidate Park Young-sun, Hopes Seoul Becomes a Special City for SMEs
SME Central Association Conveys Current Policy Tasks to the Democratic Party
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector delivered policy tasks regarding SME and small business issues to Park Young-sun, the Democratic Party of Korea's Seoul mayoral candidate, on the 10th.
On this day, from the Democratic Party, candidate Park, election committee chairman Lee Nak-yeon, Kim Kyung-man, chairman of the SME Special Committee, and lawmakers Oh Young-hoon and Kang Seon-woo visited the Korea Federation of SMEs in Yeouido, Seoul.
From the industry, about 40 representatives of SMEs and small business owners from various sectors in Seoul, including Kim Ki-moon, chairman of the Korea Federation of SMEs, Kwon Hyuk-hong, senior vice chairman of the Federation, Hwang In-hwan, chairman of the Seoul Automobile Maintenance Cooperative, and representatives of smart stores, attended.
At the site, they proposed ▲ monitoring and support for blind spots in Seoul's disaster relief funds ▲ expansion of social safety net support targets for small business owners ▲ establishment and reflection of Seoul's SME cooperative revitalization plan ▲ matching support for joint projects to activate cooperative functions ▲ support for installation and replacement of industrial safety and health facilities for SMEs ▲ creation of a Yongsan complex cultural space to revitalize citizens and commercial districts ▲ construction of a future automobile aftermarket complex, among others.
Chairman Kim Ki-moon said, "I hope Seoul can establish itself as a special city for SMEs where small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners can participate and grow as Seoul develops into a global central city."
