One New COVID-19 Case in Hwasun... Jeonnam Patient No. 893
[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] In Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do, one resident was confirmed positive for COVID-19 overnight.
According to the county on the 10th, the confirmed case classified as Jeonnam 893 (Hwasun 62) had suspected symptoms such as fever and chills, visited the public health center's screening clinic the day before, and underwent a diagnostic test.
As a result of the diagnostic test, the Jeonnam Health and Environment Research Institute confirmed a final positive diagnosis.
The county immediately identified the movement path upon notification of the confirmed case, completed disinfection of the confirmed person's home, workplace, and visited facilities, and requested bed allocation from Jeonnam Province for patient transfer.
According to the diagnostic test results conducted by the county on the day before for 5 cohabiting family members and 106 workplace colleagues of the confirmed case, the 5 family members tested negative, and the results for the 106 workplace colleagues are pending.
So far, the infection route of Jeonnam 893 confirmed case has not been identified.
The county is conducting an in-depth epidemiological investigation with the Jeonnam Province epidemiological investigation team to identify the infection route and additional movement paths.
