Eunpyeong-gu Completes Land Readjustment Project Using Drones
For More Accurate and Swift Implementation, Investigation Conducted via Drone Filming... Expected Protection of National Property Rights and Increase in Land Value
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) completed aerial photography using state-of-the-art unmanned aerial drones over the 600 area of Bulgwang-dong last month on the 25th to promote the 6th Bulgwang-dong cadastral resurvey project more accurately and swiftly.
The cadastral resurvey project is a national initiative to accurately investigate the entire national land digitally due to many issues in exercising property rights caused by discrepancies in land boundaries on cadastral maps created during the Japanese colonial period in 1910. This project aims to protect citizens' property rights and efficiently utilize national land.
Eunpyeong-gu has completed the most projects in Seoul with five projects. For this 6th Bulgwang-dong cadastral resurvey project, drones were used to produce more accurate and diverse surveying results, shorten the project period, and continuously promote the cadastral resurvey project to help landowners better understand the process.
A district official stated, “Despite considerable difficulties in drone photography due to the characteristics of a large city, smooth shooting was possible thanks to the active cooperation of residents, including apartments and community service centers. We will promote the cadastral resurvey project more accurately and swiftly using the captured data, which greatly contributes to protecting citizens' property rights and increasing land value.”
The drone photography data can be viewed on the Eunpyeong-gu website.
