Taekwang Industrial Appoints Jeong Chan-sik as Head of Petrochemical Division
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Taekwang Industrial announced on the 8th that it has appointed Chung Chan-sik, Vice President of LG Chem ABS, as the CEO of the Petrochemical Business Division. He is expected to be officially appointed if the agenda passes at the shareholders' meeting scheduled for the 26th.
CEO Chung was born in 1963 and graduated from Hanyang University with a degree in Industrial Chemistry. Since joining LG Petrochemical (the predecessor of LG Chem) in 1988, he has served as the plant manager of the NCC plant in Yeosu, the monomer plant manager at the Daesan plant, and held positions such as NCC Business Division Head (Executive Director) and ABS Business Division Head (Vice President), earning a reputation as an expert in the petrochemical field.

CEO Chung will lead the petrochemical business within Taekwang Industrial. Meanwhile, Taekwang Industrial will operate under a dual CEO system with Chung Chan-sik and Park Jae-yong, CEO of the Textile Business Division.
