Porsche AG Unveils the Taycan Cross Turismo for the First Time
Launching This Summer... Starting from 93,635 Euros
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Porsche AG has unveiled its first crossover utility vehicle (CUV) model, the 'Taycan Cross Turismo.'
On the 4th (local time), Porsche AG announced that it revealed the electric sports car Taycan Cross Turismo for the first time worldwide through a virtual world premiere held at the Hyperball Studio in Munich, Germany.
The Taycan Cross Turismo lineup consists of four models: the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo, Taycan 4S Cross Turismo, Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo, and Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo. All four Taycan Cross Turismo models come standard with a Performance Battery Plus with a maximum capacity of 93.4 kWh.
The 380-horsepower Taycan 4 Cross Turismo accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds with launch control and an overboost output of up to 476 horsepower. Its top speed is 220 km/h, and the WLTP range is 389-456 km. The 490-horsepower Taycan 4S Cross Turismo accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds with an overboost output of up to 571 horsepower, has a top speed of 240 km/h, and a WLTP range of 388-452 km.
Additionally, the 625-horsepower Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds with an overboost output of up to 680 horsepower, has a top speed of 250 km/h, and a WLTP range of 395-452 km. The 625-horsepower Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds with an overboost output of up to 761 horsepower, has a top speed of 250 km/h, and a WLTP range of 388-419 km.
All four Cross Turismo models come standard with all-wheel drive and a high-tech chassis equipped with adaptive air suspension. The optional Off-Road Design Package raises the ground clearance by up to 30 mm, enabling driving on challenging off-road terrain, while the standard Gravel mode improves driving suitability on rough roads.
The exterior of the Taycan Cross Turismo closely resembles the 'Mission E Cross Turismo' concept model showcased at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. It features a sporty roofline that slopes steeply toward the rear, known as the flyline silhouette. Off-road design elements include wheel arch trims, distinctive front and rear lower aprons, and side sills. As part of the Off-Road Design Package, special flaps are applied to the corners of the front and rear bumpers and both ends of the sills, protecting the vehicle from stone chips while completing an outstanding exterior design.
The Taycan Cross Turismo is scheduled for release this summer, with prices in the German market starting at 93,635 euros (approximately 126.5 million KRW), including 19% value-added tax and country-specific special features. All specifications and option information vary by country, and the domestic release schedule and pricing information are yet to be determined.
