Yangsan-si Creates 'Attractive' Nightscape with High-Intensity Lighting
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Yangsan City in Gyeongnam announced on the 2nd that it is improving the nighttime lighting environment through the installation of gobo lighting (logo projectors) used for various purposes such as city administration promotion and crime prevention.
Gobo lighting is a type of lighting that embeds a special film engraved with messages or images into LED lights, projecting them onto the ground or walls as soon as the streetlights turn on. It illuminates dark streets at night while providing visual interest and information through colorful images and relatable phrases.
The city plans to install an additional 47 units this year following the installation of about 80 units in the area last year.
Additionally, rotating gobo lights that alternate between four images will be installed in some locations to provide even more information.
