Hankom Group and Daejeon City to Create 'Smart City' Integrating ICT Technology
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Hancom Group has joined hands with Daejeon Metropolitan City to create a future city based on 4th Industrial Revolution technologies.
Kim Sang-cheol, Chairman of Hancom Group, and Heo Tae-jeong, Mayor of Daejeon, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the 25th to complete the 4th Industrial Revolution Special City.
Hancom Group plans to promote technological cooperation to apply various advanced ICT technologies such as drones, robots, mobility, artificial intelligence (AI), and Internet of Things (IoT) that it possesses to Daejeon City, and to establish a cooperative relationship for creating a future-type smart city.
Hancom Group will actively cooperate in the establishment and activation of the urban precision flight drone special free zone (hereinafter referred to as the Drone Special Zone) in Daejeon through Hancom Inspace located in Daejeon.
Daejeon City will actively support the Drone Special Zone by providing administrative support, discovering demand, and presenting public service models to generate results.
Mayor Heo said, "Starting with the successful cooperation between Daejeon City and Hancom Group through the Drone Special Zone, Daejeon will become a true 4th Industrial Revolution Special City."
