Statistics Korea Signs MOU with Korea Transport Institute and Korea Expressway Corporation

The Statistics Korea announced on the 23rd that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 'Data Utilization and Cooperation' with the Korea Transport Institute and Korea Expressway Corporation.
The three organizations agreed to cooperate on sharing transportation data and opinions, joint research and support for new statistics development, and research on statistical compilation methods.
Ryu Geungwan, Commissioner of Statistics Korea, stated, "With this MOU signing, we hope to expand data integration and linked analysis between the government and public institutions, and create an opportunity to additionally produce and utilize useful statistics."
Oh Jaehak, Director of the Korea Transport Institute, said, "Based on the expertise of each organization, we will strive not only to improve the quality of national statistics but also to develop new statistics."

Shin Donghee, Head of Planning at Korea Expressway Corporation, said, "This joint research will provide an opportunity to produce high-quality transportation data and develop new statistical indicators."
