Lotte Fine Chemical Extends Exclusive Supply to Korean Mercedes-Benz and Daimler
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] Lotte Fine Chemical announced on the 22nd that it has extended its exclusive contract to supply its urea solution product, Uroxe, as an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part to Mercedes-Benz Korea and Daimler Truck Korea. The new contract includes a newly added 3.5ℓ passenger car-specific product for onboard use. It comes in a pouch container, making it easy to refill.

Urea solution is a catalyst used in the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system of diesel fuel vehicles. It eliminates nitrogen oxides, one of the causes of fine particulate matter in exhaust gases. Uroxe is used as an OEM part by global automakers including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Scania, MAN, and Peugeot Citro?n, as well as domestic car manufacturers such as Hyundai, Kia, and Tata Daewoo. According to the company, it has been recognized as the best-selling urea solution in Korea for 13 consecutive years.
