On the morning of the 21st, two people were found consecutively.
One was found underwater without breathing, and the other was dramatically rescued inside the sunken vessel.
According to the Pohang Coast Guard on the 21st, at around 9:20 a.m., one missing crew member of the snow crab fishing vessel Georyongho (9.77 tons, registered in Guryongpo) was found about 14 km from the accident site. The crew member was wearing a life jacket but was not breathing.
Then, at 10:50 a.m., one hour and 30 minutes later, a crew member remaining on the overturned vessel was found alive. This survivor, presumed to be a Korean engineer, was breathing but unable to communicate effectively.
The Coast Guard urgently airlifted the two individuals by helicopter to a nearby hospital.

Meanwhile, the 9.77-ton snow crab fishing vessel Georyongho, which departed from Guryongpo Port, Pohang, at around 3 a.m. on the 19th, sank 43 km east of Gampo. There were six people on board the vessel: two Koreans including the captain, three Vietnamese crew members, and one Chinese-Korean.
