Joeunhee: "Nakyeongwon, I don't know about being tough, but she is not delicate"
Joeunhee, Nakyeongwon's pledges require 15 to 17 trillion won
Far exceeding Seoul City's available budget of 6 trillion won
[Asia Economy reporters Naju-seok and Geum Bo-ryeong] Jo Eun-hee, the People Power Party's preliminary candidate for Seoul mayor, sharply criticized Na Kyung-won's funding plans related to her pledges on the 19th. Jo said, "I don't know if it's harsh, but it's certainly not meticulous," launching a fierce attack.
At the People Power Party's Seoul mayoral debate held at the Baekbeom Memorial Hall in Seoul that day, Jo pointed out issues with Na's funding plans for her pledges. Jo said, "Adding up all the money required for Na candidate's pledges, the budget amounts to at least 15 to 17 trillion won," and asked, "Do you know how much the Seoul city budget is?"
She continued, "The Seoul city budget is 35 trillion won, but after deducting the budgets allocated to the education office and autonomous districts, welfare expenses, fixed costs, and cold wave countermeasures, about 6 trillion won remains," and questioned, "Where can you get 17 trillion won from?"
Na responded, "I don't know how the calculation was made, but I have not calculated the total required budget." To this, Jo said, "I don't know if it's harsh, but it's certainly not meticulous."
Jo stated, "I have clearly announced plans to issue local bonds regarding support measures for small business owners," adding, "While the Democratic Party might do that, conservatives need to be competent. It is worrisome."
