[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Fire Department has been making every effort to ensure the safety of residents from the 17th, when a heavy snow warning was issued, until the morning of the 18th.
According to the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters on the 18th, 33 firefighting activities were carried out from the previous day until 7 a.m. on the 18th.
They rescued 3 people, provided emergency medical services to 14, and carried out 11 safety measures such as securing signboards and guardrails. A total of 61 pieces of equipment and 180 firefighters were deployed.
Notably, one person was rescued from a vehicle rollover accident on a road in Jangseong-gun, and another person was rescued from a collision accident on the Gwangju-Muan Expressway.
Additionally, 5 people were transported due to falls on icy roads in Yeosu-si and other areas, and safety measures were taken after a signboard fell on a road in Wanggok-myeon, Naju-si.
Snow is expected to continue falling in the western region of Jeonnam until the morning of the day, and the Jeonnam Fire Department is closely monitoring for additional accidents.
