The People Power Party's by-election nomination management committee announced on the 15th the results of the ARS vote conducted immediately after the debate through a debate evaluation panel composed of 1,000 party members and citizens.
According to the tally, in the first part debate between candidates Park Seonghun and Park Minsik, candidate Park Minsik was chosen, and in the debate between candidates Park Hyungjun and Lee Eonju, candidate Park Hyungjun was selected.

This debate was held for the first time in Busan and was conducted as a one-on-one face-off between candidates. Each candidate was given a total of 20 minutes, including 2 minutes for vision presentation, 16 minutes for debate, and 2 minutes for closing remarks. The first debate in Seoul will be held on the 16th. After going through debates in the same format, joint debates with four preliminary candidates from each region are scheduled for the 25th (Busan) and 26th (Seoul).
