COVID-19 Cases Increase After Seollal Holiday... 345 Confirmed by 6 PM

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] COVID-19 cases have increased following the Seollal holiday.
According to the quarantine authorities, Seoul Metropolitan Government, and other local governments on the 15th, a total of 345 new confirmed cases tested positive for COVID-19 from 0:00 to 18:00 on that day. This is 55 more than the 290 cases recorded during the same time on the previous day.
During the Seollal holiday period, the interim confirmed cases appeared to decrease from 323 on the 11th, to 303 on the 12th, 262 on the 13th, and 290 on the 14th, but increased again to exceed 300 cases on this day.
Looking at the regions where confirmed cases were reported, 265 cases (76.8%) were in the metropolitan area, and 80 cases (23.2%) were in non-metropolitan areas.
By city and province, there were 138 cases in Seoul, 108 in Gyeonggi, 25 in Chungnam, 19 each in Busan and Incheon, 10 in Daegu, 5 in Gyeongnam, 4 each in Ulsan and Chungbuk, 3 each in Gangwon and Gyeongbuk, 2 each in Gwangju, Daejeon, and Jeonnam, and 1 in Jeju.
