Seo Kyung-seok followed by Park Myung-soo challenging to become a certified real estate agent? "Studied hard then gave up... It's not easy"
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Eun-young] Comedian Park Myung-soo shared a story about how he once tried to become a licensed real estate agent but quickly gave up, causing laughter.
On the 13th, during KBS CoolFM's 'Park Myung-soo's Radio Show,' Park hosted the segment '11 o'clock My Hometown,' where he connected with listeners via phone.
A caller introduced herself as someone who transitioned from being a full-time housewife to working as a licensed real estate agent, saying, "I started a new job after 7 years. I'm really enjoying the work." She added, "I'm preparing for the licensed real estate agent exam by taking online lectures. Since I started with practical work, it doesn't feel unfamiliar."
In response, DJ Park Myung-soo recalled, "I once bought a book to prepare for the licensed real estate agent exam."
He then said, "I tore open the book and gave up. Civil law, criminal law, administration?it's not easy. Some people think becoming a licensed real estate agent is simple, but it's not." He continued, "You have to study a lot and prepare thoroughly," which made everyone burst into laughter.
He added, "It's really admirable that (the listener) studies while working."
Meanwhile, according to the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, the number of applicants for the licensed real estate agent exam last year reached a record high of 343,076.
In the past, it was called the "middle-aged exam" because many applicants were in their 40s and 50s, but recently it has become popular among people in their 20s preparing for employment and 30s office workers.
