Shilla University is providing a universal scholarship aimed at overcoming infectious diseases.
Shilla University (President Kim Chung-seok) announced on the 9th that it has decided to provide a ‘COVID-19 Overcoming Special Scholarship’ to encourage students facing difficulties in their studies due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and to create a stable academic environment.
With COVID-19 still rampant, Shilla University made efforts to secure scholarships to directly support students’ studies. Finally, it secured special scholarship funds totaling about 950 million KRW from internal scholarships and external scholarship funds.
The special scholarship will benefit about 7,000 students who completed the second semester of the 2020 academic year. Shilla University plans to provide each student with a special scholarship worth approximately 136,000 KRW by February 18.

A Shilla University official said, “Many students are struggling with their studies due to COVID-19,” and added, “We decided to provide the COVID-19 special scholarship so that students can continue their studies without giving up and grow into outstanding talents.”
