The 'Go Go Challenge' is a lifestyle 'plastic-free' movement initiated last month by the Ministry of Environment through social networking services (SNS). Participants promise to stop one plastic-related behavior and start one eco-friendly action, then nominate the next participant to continue the campaign.
After being nominated by Kim Sun-hee, CEO of Maeil Dairies, CEO Sung took a commemorative photo with employees, promising to reduce plastic use and practice recycling. She then nominated Cho Yeon-joo, Vice Chairman of Hansol Chemical, contemporary artist Eddy Kang, and CEO Yoon Hyung-seok of Barrels as the next participants.
CEO Sung stated on the 9th, "All subsidiaries under Youngone Holdings are striving to implement eco-friendly practices, both in developing green products and across all business areas. Moving forward, to reduce disposable and plastic consumption, we will continue to use multi-purpose shopping bags (eco-friendly and paper materials) and practice small daily actions such as separating and disposing of plastics in a clean state."
Youngone Holdings, through its subsidiary Youngone, an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) for outdoor and sports apparel and equipment, is working with overseas brand clients to reduce plastic use in packaging or switch to biodegradable materials. Additionally, they are increasing the production of clothing using recycled materials and the proportion of thermal insulation materials, while promoting the establishment of an eco-friendly integrated production system at their local factory in Bangladesh.
