The city announced on the 9th that it has finalized the plan for the eco-friendly vehicle distribution project to reduce fine dust and will begin full-scale implementation.
The support targets are ▲300 electric passenger cars ▲30 electric cargo vehicles ▲27 electric two-wheelers ▲1 electric bus ▲55 hydrogen vehicles.
The amount of support varies: up to 11 million KRW per electric passenger car, up to 19 million KRW per cargo vehicle, and up to 330,000 KRW per two-wheeler.
Hydrogen vehicles receive support of 32.5 million KRW per vehicle.
The city will announce the details of the electric vehicle purchase support on the city hall website and start accepting applications nationwide through automobile manufacturers and dealerships from the 22nd of this month. For hydrogen vehicles, applications will be accepted nationwide through Hyundai Motor dealerships starting from the 8th of next month after the project plan announcement on the 22nd.
Eligibility for eco-friendly vehicle purchase support requires applicants to have had a residence, business, corporation, or organization in Sejong for at least 90 days prior to the application date, and recipients will be selected in order of delivery and registration.

Yoon Bong-hee, head of the Environmental Policy Division, said, “We will expand the distribution of eco-friendly vehicles and simultaneously promote projects to reduce emissions from old vehicles and early scrappage.” He added, “The city plans to continuously expand air quality improvement projects and asks for the active interest and participation of citizens.”
