COVID-19 New Cases 372... 3 Consecutive Days with 300s Recorded (Update 2)
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jae-hee] Amid the ongoing third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of new COVID-19 cases on the 7th was in the 300s.
On this day, the Central Disease Control Headquarters reported that as of midnight, the number of new domestic COVID-19 cases was 372. Accordingly, the total cumulative number of confirmed cases was confirmed to be 80,896.
This is 21 fewer than the 392 cases reported the previous day, marking the third consecutive day with numbers in the 300s.
Regarding the infection routes of the new confirmed cases on this day, 326 were locally transmitted and 46 were imported from overseas.
The third wave, which began in earnest in mid-November last year, showed a gradual decline this year, dropping to the low 300s, then briefly increased to the 500s due to cluster infections in places including the IM Mission Church, but now fluctuates again between the 300s and 400s.

The daily new confirmed cases over the past week (February 1?7) were 305 → 336 → 467 → 451 → 370 → 393 → 372. During this period, the number was in the 300s five times and in the 400s twice.
