Last Year, Biden Injured Ankle While Playing With His Dog, Underwent Orthopedic Examination
White House Physician: "Symptoms Improving"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jae-hee] U.S. President Joe Biden visited a hospital on the 6th (local time) to have his injured ankle checked after spending time with his pet dog late last year, Bloomberg reported on the same day.
According to the report, President Biden, who is spending the weekend in Wilmington, Delaware, where his residence is located, underwent an ankle examination and had an X-ray taken at a nearby orthopedic clinic in the afternoon.
Earlier, on November 28 last year, when he was president-elect, President Biden twisted his ankle while spending time with his pet dog, 'Major,' and a small fracture was found in the middle of the ankle.
President Biden's personal physician, Dr. Kevin O'Connor, stated in a press release, "The President's symptoms have improved as expected."
Going forward, President Biden is scheduled to have regular X-ray examinations over a 10-week period.

Dr. O'Connor explained, "An ankle sprain can sometimes be a more serious injury than an accompanying fracture," adding, "The X-ray is to check the condition of the ligaments."
